#tbt to the #podcon2, where I got to meet and hear from some of my favorite creators and podcasters! The shows that these folks create are so important to me and some of my favorites! It was wonderful to be able to hear from them on different panels and live shows! . . . . . . #podcast #pod #nancypodcast #audio #instapodcast #podcasts #audiolife #recommended #listen #podcon #podcastlife #podcasting #radio #wnyc #shows #queer #lgbt #lgbtq #seattle #con #dylanmarron #welcometonightvale #thebrightsessions #hannahhart #listen #happy #selfie #selfies
Hannah Hart has been an internet creator/YouTuber that I’ve personally admired for ages. That’s in part because she’s been so open about dealing with depression. Her show “Hannahlyze This” (hosted with her friend Hannah Gelb) is a great conversational podcast about so many things, including mental health. Being able to hear Hannah talk at a few panels at #podcon2 was so amazing! . One of my favorite shows from 2018 was “Buried Truths” from @wabe90.1. This show is about the past but listening to it, you’re reminded of just how much our history impacts society today. . Podcasts can be this amazing way of sharing a story with the world. Whether it’s through fiction or audio dramas, live storytelling about true events, or conversations with other people, podcasts have a way of intimately telling stories of all kinds. . . . . . . . . #podcast #pod #neverbefore #neverbeforewithjanetmock #audio #instapodcast #podcasts #audiolife #recommended #listen #stories #story #storytelling #friends #support #whereveryoulistentopodcasts #janetmock #tellingyourstory #redefiningrealness
Honestly, there are many times where I’m listening to an episode of Food 4 Thot (@gayslutswhoread) and have to just sit down and fully digest all the truth the hosts and guests say each episode. This show has such amazing commentary on queer life/sex, culture, society, literature, and so much more. . . . . . . . . #podcast #pod #audio #instapodcast #podcasts #audiolife #recommended #food4thot #queer #lgbtq #writers #queerpodcast #quote #foreverdogpodcasts #podcasting #conversations #selfworth #whereveryougetyourpodcasts
Nora McInerny (@noraborealis) is a writer and host of the show ‘Terrible, Thanks For Asking’ (@ttfapodcast). TTFA is a show about all the times you honestly want to say “I’m terrible” when asked how you’re doing. There’s episodes on loss, grief, humanity, difficult moments, and awkwardness. This show is emotional, real, and allowed me to feel less alone in my own pain. McInerny has a way of letting people tell their own stories in their own words/voice while also adding in words of wisdom. .
